A Platform for Learning and Innovation

Tech Acc, gives participants eight dedicated hours each month to work on their projects, supported by a budget for necessary hardware or tooling and mentorship from senior team members, including UX designers, business analysts, and solutions architects. The aim is to foster innovation and personal development while ensuring participants retain the intellectual property (IP) they create.

Hackathons, provide teams with intensive, in-office days to accelerate progress, culminating in a year-end showcase. In a Shark Tank-style event, projects are judged on criteria like technical innovation, difficulty, year-long progress, presentation, and utility.

The entire company has the opportunity to vote for their favourite projects with ‘Enteloot’ – virtual tokens they can assign to projects they feel deserve them.

Cash prizes are awarded to the top three teams.

Andreas Nel, Tech Acc Committee Member, commented, “2024 marked the beginning of a new era for Tech Accelerator, with the focus on a premium and seamless experience for both participants and the committee. We are extremely proud of what we've achieved this year, especially with the launch of the new online portal and the quality of our finalists.”
